The Original Silver Cliff Town Hall & Fire Station
(606 Main Street)-Constructed in 1879 and still stands on its original site. It is listed on the State Historic Register and is now the Silver Cliff Museum. |
Round Mountain
(North east of Silver Cliff) Still shows the scars of the many who dreamed of finding a rich silver strike. In 1878 Hofford, Powell and Edwards discovered the Racine Boy and Horn Silver and other mines near Round Mountain and the Town of Silver Cliff was soon under way.

The Geyser Mine
The strange, low black cliff at this site, still visible today, started the silver mining rush of Silver Cliff. Mining started in July of 1877 and continued for 23 years until July 1900. The Geyser Mine is located Northeast of the Silver Cliff Museum. |

Silver Cliff Cemetery
Famous for its mysterious lights first seen around 1890. The
floating lights of various colors are reportedly best seen on a dark
overcast night. The phenomenon was investigated and published in National Geographic in 1963, but the mystery remains unexplained.
